It is our pleasure to welcome you into our beautiful countryside residential care home, where we offer a range of luxury facilities to make everyday life as relaxing and enjoyable as possible.

When preparing for your stay, whether you’re staying for a short or long period, it is our promise to settle you in amongst friendly faces and comfortable surroundings. Prior to staying with us we will talk through any concerns or thoughts you may have, even if it is just for a general chat whilst you’re packing. There will be a team on hand to talk you through everything you will need, we are here to guide you through each step of the way.

We understand this may be a daunting transition, from leaving your own surroundings and community to come and live amongst new faces, within a different setting. Missing home is very normal, however, from the day you arrive there will be plenty to do. Doddington Lodge is a wonderful and exciting place, which all our current residents love.

BEFORE MOVING IN

We want to ensure both you and your loved ones feel you have made the right decision in choosing Doddington Lodge as a home away from home. That is why we strongly encourage you visit us before deciding upon us being your new home. Our friendly staff will be on hand to show you around whenever it suits you.

An initial care plan will be agreed prior to moving in, this will then be assessed regularly and amended during the first week of your stay as we get to understand more about your individual needs and preferences.

We want to make the transition as enjoyable as possible for everyone, that is why we promise your personal preferences will be in place upon your arrival, whether that being related to your care, the gender of staff providing your care, your diet or social activities.

14-DAY COOLING-OFF PERIOD

We offer a 14-day cooling-off period to ensure you have made the right decision.

Creating a safe and caring environment is at the heart of everything we do. Listening and understanding our residents’ needs is paramount, providing independence and CHOICE. Once the 14-day cooling-off period has come to an end we will then review and talk through with you or your family and or representative to discuss whether you would like to continue your stay with us here at Doddington Lodge.

It is our aim to make our home an enjoyable place to live and a community you love being a part of, but if you change your mind and decide we are not the right fit for you or your needs, we will discuss further options and help you to find alternative accommodation.
